Dubai Beaches

It may be hard to believe, but some of the most beautiful beaches in the world can be found in the Middle East, particularly in Dubai.

As shown in the above Dubai Pictures, the pristine white sands of Dubai beaches can truly raise eyebrows, as one would think that such wonders wouldn’t even exist in this part of the world, however they do, some spanning several kilometers long. On the whole, Dubai beaches are crystal clear with the signature Persian Gulf turquoise waters.  Beaches are used year around apart from the incredibly hot Dubai summer months (July – September) when the temperature of the water can reach and the temperature outside can reach 48 C (118 F)

Jumeirah Beach Road (one of the main roads in Dubai) runs alongside a long strip of Dubai’s coastline, where many sections of public beaches are positioned in between hotels and private beach clubs. Many of the hotel private beaches also offer a wide array of water sports activities such as paragliding, jet skiing, windsurfing, and deep-sea fishing.

Tourists need to be aware that in any of the public and paid beaches in Dubai, beach goers can wear the usual beachwear. Beachgoers are expected to change to appropriate clothing once in public (i.e. covered knees and shoulders). It is not uncommon to see Arabic Muslim women swimming in beaches wearing full length swim suit or dress, to cover their entire bodies in modesty in accordance with their Muslim culture.

Some of the most popular Dubai beaches include:

The Al Mamzar Beach Park: Spanning over more than one hundred hectares, to call the Al Mamzar Beach Park big would be an understatement. With picnic areas, swimming pools, and green grassy spots, the Al Mamzar Beach Park is a terrific venue for wholesome family fun. As with most other Dubai beaches, the park is exclusively open to children and women only every Wednesday.

Creekside Park: The Creekside Park is located near the southern banks of the Dubai creek. It is ideal for business men and families alike, with a mini-golf course, fishing jetties, and a lush botanical garden which houses over 250 species of flowers and plants.

The Jumeirah Beach Public Beach and Jumeirah Beach Park: Clean and beautiful with amazing views of the Burj Al Arab, the Jumeirah Beach Public Beach spans over twelve hectares, and is among the most popular of Dubai beaches. With food stalls, picnic tables, and children’s play areas, the Jumeirah Beach Park is one for families and friends alike. On-duty lifeguards keep watch, maintaining the overall safety of swimmers, while the presence of shower facilities and dressing rooms provide convenience for visitors.  As with most Dubai beaches, Wednesdays are reserved for women and children only.
